Fun With Homemade Play Dough

Yesterday we had so much fun making play dough! My two year old just loves to help me. However, if you have a two year old I would make sure you have someone else there to help you, or it would be a lot easier and so much more fun to just buy it from the store!

She loves to help me pour the ingredients into the pot.

And she helped me stir.

Here is the dough. Isn't the color so pretty? I planned on making several batches with different colors, however when I started pulling the ingredients out of the pantry I realized I was almost out of salt!

And isn't she cute working so hard with her play dough?

Here is the recipe:

2 cups water

2 cups flour

1/2 cup salt

1 tbs oil

2 tsp cream of tarter

food coloring

Mix all ingredients together and cook in pot stirring constantly until most of the moisture is out and it looks like play dough.
